Just needed to show it of somewhere... I've been working on modding a cheap airsoft gun, starting with removing all the weights (yes, it has iron weights to make it "feel right")... And also trimming away unnecessary parts. I'm going to put in a harder spring at some point and gonna mod the silencer which came with it (which is just for the "look" it doesn't silence) so that i can fit over the steel pipe to make it look sexy without making it bigger.

EDIT: It can go full auto but I prefer not to as it's a little noisy and my parents really don't like me playing with "weapons" ^^

The system it's locked in is running on a small dedicated app on my laptop which is just an EXTREMELY Stripped down version of my home automation used for testing currently, and is going to be the base for version 5 of the system. This is off topic as I'm not going to show of any details (unless you ask) and just going to show a video of me unlocking the drawer, pulling out a gun and shooting my pillows wink

That is impressive. How did you connect the drawer to your computer?

Thanks! But it's nothing compared to the rest of the room... But I used a socalled arduino. It's an opensource computing platform with an USB connection. I have an Arduino Mega controlling most of the room with, two smaller Arduino Duemilanove controlling blinds and heating, and a custom built board interfacing with my TV.

After setting up an arduino, flashing it with the code and using .NET to connect to it, it's just a matter of wiring up a transistor to an output pin on the board and connecting it to the solenoid activating the drawer lock.
lol pretty nice, coolest thing I ever had in one of my rooms was a flip wall to a game room area. Now if I could have gotten that automated :)

HOLY NOODLE NUGGETS!!

How much?
How to do?
Where to buy?

@Striker I have seen his Electric Door lock and it was simply amazing
I think we have the next bill gates :P
Lol, thanks guys ! :P

About the price it's maybe $300 - $500 in total for doing all I've done, maximum $50 for doing this type of lock in a drawer... How to do it, there you need some electronics experience, but nothing too hard again. Where to buy? You can't, my system is unique ...There exists others like it, but mine is one of the more advanced, and as far as I know, one of the only ones to run on .NET. I source the parts from old equipment and Ebay.

I might post more sometime if you like this stuff xD
Amazing :o !! I would love to do this to my doors
What would be really cool to wire it all behind the wall
Well I think the system looks pretty good, the cables are tight together with cable clips against the walls xP...

But at the door, I wish I could just pull them side it, but I can't get to do it really... :S
