RE: Visual Basic School - Signup Thread [OPEN]
Haven't decided, one thing, I don't want to have to be teaching one member 1 section for a full month, that's too slow, so i'd say probably best thing to do IS to keep everybody at the same page, like a real classroom. Much easier to maintain.

1 week per section, deadline is the end of the week to get the submissions in for that section that we assign to you. If you don't, you fail that section, and maybe instead of just saying that you fail, we move you to the next section along with everybody else, and by the end of the course, sections you failed will deduct from your final percentage. Passing grade is 50% meaning you have to pass half of the course really, otherwise you're done.

Lets see what KoBE thinks, but now thinking about it, I think this is best, especially when we reach higher number's of students, to track each person individually would be bad.

The VB School is going to be in sort of a BETA stage while we work though the first couple of students.

I think that it should be up to the instructor to decide. Me for instance, I don't care about keeping track of individual performance. If someone wants to work a little ahead that would be fine but not too far. So, for the people that I am assigned, I will probably say: If they are comfortable I'll allow them to work up to one section in advanced.

Overall, I think it's up to the instructor. For me, it would be performance based. I'd hate to have a situation where 3 people are waiting for 1 student to login for that week. If Ace wants to run his class in sync, then that'd be up to him. After all, it's the same material.

I don't care who it is, just wondering whom it will be. Whistle
As Ace said, it will be one of us. Probably be decided at random.

RE: Visual Basic School - Signup Thread [OPEN]
KoBe had good points, KoBE tells me he'd be okay working with individual progress. I would still say no more than 1 week per section though, or even 2, as we want to get others in the school as well... We'll see how the pacing goes though when it starts up, once we do it a few times, things will become routine.

If i'm forced to work with individuals, then fine by me, but I think i'd be able to teach better in a group. If someone is left behind and going at a slower pace, deadline is still a week per tutorial, (or 2 depending on how people manage the first section and we can judge from there,) I can give out extra material and things to do if people want so they aren't without anything to do. That's the way i'd probably run with my group of students.

So this is EVEN BETTER! You guys have a choice.
