Kernel development is quite interesting. It's shown by evidence in the dump file above (along with various other dumps i've seen myself, and through others replies to similarly related BSOD's, as well as even in that thread you posted as reference), although I don't do kernel development, I just know how the kernel works on a mediocre scale. It's basically the project manager of all activities that execute on your machine. It keeps track of threads, statuses, states, and logs various things, thus it's directly responsible for making the call as to whether a BSOD shows up or not. ![]() Microsoft MVP .NET Programming - (2012 - Present) ®Crestron DMC-T Certified Automation Programmer Development Site: aceinfinity.net |

I thought you had some type of cool Kernel profiling tool.

RE: BSOD Every Time I Plug Something In With USB Port
Here is the hotfix I found for this issue and it ssemed to clean up everything without a format reload.
First one you need to do Windows6.1-KB2732487-v2-x64.msu The above msu file name just search with google the following keywords download Windows6.1-KB2732487-v2-x64.msu and that should fix the problem Dev |

For old threads asking for assistance it's best to not dig them up as the problem is probably no longer relevant anymore. Although, a hotfix isn't going to be the solution for everybody having this USB problem. There may be no way to tell for sure though because I think the OP has a new computer now too. That's the thing with BSOD's though, it may look like the same issue, but there's an infinite number of possibilities for why the problem could be occurring. ![]() Microsoft MVP .NET Programming - (2012 - Present) ®Crestron DMC-T Certified Automation Programmer Development Site: aceinfinity.net |
