Have you checked the checksum after downloading?

Define 'it' in this context? Trying to create a bootable Linux USB? I've never done it, but I have seen a utility called LiLi out there. It's on Reboot forums as well I believe.

Edit: I had this thread opened before you made your edit. Not sure which distro's LiLi supports, but it's worth a look.

All of the hashes match.

The point is to install it via usb. Which I have used lili in the past. Once the new ISO completes I'll see if that changes anything, but I doubt it :p

New ISO solved it. Thanks.

KDE or Gnome?

And remember, whenever you have a booting problem, you can post a thread on http://reboot.pro/

You can even make a recovery usb, this is what I strongly suggest, so that you don't have problems when you format the linux partition from windows and it doesn't boot anymore!

Gnome

and I have all of my disks that came factory with my laptop (Like 4 for a factory restoration) and I dont have too much imporntant stuff on my windows partition, but now I'm smart enough to get rid of gnome bootloader and set it to windows before I get rid of the distro ;)
