RE: This is why I love Canada
Quote:I used to be like that, work, work, work, until I was about 30 years old. I used to feel that, when asked, I had to do overtime and/or work long hours 6 or 7 days a week. Then I thought "stuff it" and started to do what I wanted. I'll stop here so I can reply solely to this... I AGREE. You have no idea. When you're younger, you know, just getting out of school, it's always "I want to get a high paying job", "I'll work long hours and get great pay", "Imagine the cool cars I could afford here". But as you get older, I think it's more important to just be doing what you love to do, as long as it helps you get by in life at a comfortable level. Some people are fortunate to learn the secrets of making good money to become rich, but you do not do that by working for somebody else. You either have to start your own business, or create your own plans and strategies to become rich by making money work for you. When you work under a company, most of the money you make anyways goes to the government, you have hardly any control over that. Sure you get some benefits provided that the company has benefits. But if you work for yourself, you can claim lots of that stuff as a writeoff as long as it's justafiable. Probably much better than just sending that money to the government. Buy a truck, claim it as a work item because you need a vehicle to make it to work, or carry your equipment around, buy an iPad, say you need it to manage emails because you are a project manager or something like that. Lots of people don't get it though, I'm just starting to get it, and it's good because i'm still young. I've learned a lot though, through my elders, and i've been around very very successful people as well, lots of very accomplished business owners. One in particular that I still have connections with, and he's sitting on about $400 000 000 after selling his company over. Universities, request for this guy to come speak for students about business... Canada is a good place, but here where I live in Canada, there's a high cost of living, not like other places in the world or even the rest of Canada for that matter. ![]() Microsoft MVP .NET Programming - (2012 - Present) ®Crestron DMC-T Certified Automation Programmer Development Site: aceinfinity.net |

@Breshie, it looks like she's been modified by plastic surgery though lol. The girl I posted looks somewhat normal, but still attractive, that's why I made her the main feature of my thread here :)
(Look at "Great Britain"'s nose lol, especially in the left image, and too much fake tan or makeup.) ![]() Microsoft MVP .NET Programming - (2012 - Present) ®Crestron DMC-T Certified Automation Programmer Development Site: aceinfinity.net |

I see what you're saying but I'm sure they wouldn't be allowed to enter such competitions if they have a genetically modified figure. |

You'd be surprised :) I've heard where people have been allowed into these competitions after gender changes... It's discrimination if they didn't. ![]() Microsoft MVP .NET Programming - (2012 - Present) ®Crestron DMC-T Certified Automation Programmer Development Site: aceinfinity.net |

RE: This is why I love Canada
Hmm, true. That's a bit stupid then imo. How can you have a plastic women representing your country. It'd be a good advertising prop for the surgeons though. ;)
