RE: What is required to get WiFi?
I live in Italy, although I travel a lot :) Why is that important?

I have a password on my router, a very complicated one (I even get it wrong when I copy it sometimes Tongue2). You'd be surprised of how many people don't have a password though. I even know a guy who intentionally does this, because he says it's the right thing to do for neighbors who can't afford to pay for Internet or the signal goes down for a few minutes. Crazy guy...

(Italy... You guys are known for Pizza and Pasta. If I could, i'd have Pizza, Pasta, Steak, Potatoes, and a few others everyday at random. Those are most of my favorite dinner meals NormalSmile)

I'm confused by the original question though. You would need a wireless access point though.

(edit: Just realized that I'm having pasta and steak today)

RE: What is required to get WiFi?
Well, my router connects to an AP but I have no idea where it's located (ISP knows it, I'm not that curious). I just pay the monthly fee and don't really care about the rest, as long as it works.

I have various APs in my city (one is downtown, one is at the train station... etc) and I can connect to them for free with my phone or laptop for instance, although the internet speed cannot compare to  the internet I have at home.
