New / Old [CODE] tag
Shouldn't we use the new code tags from that plugin instead of the old mybb [ CODE ] [ / CODE ] ?

Then what are all the options for it like [ code = vbnet ] [ / code ] ?
  • vb
  • vbnet
  • ... ?
  • ... ?
  • ... ?
And some new icons would be great for easy accessing them.

RE: New / Old [CODE] tag
So, like this?

[code=vbnet] Dim str As String = "testing".Replace("test", "TEST") [/code]

RE: New / Old [CODE] tag
I don't use the Icons for anything. If you post code in Editor mode anyways, it does not work, the code ends up being all messed up. The names are pretty self explanatory though. It's basically just the language name. With some experimentation you could edit your post until you find something.

I only really see people using these ones here though (for the most part):

1) vbnet
2) csharp
3) cpp

Web languages too possibly..

RE: New / Old [CODE] tag
I like the old code tags personally because of the Select All feature. It would be easy however to implement that into the new code tags as well.

It's just a matter of breaking into the plugin and making magic happen.

RE: New / Old [CODE] tag
And then just testing ...

[code=css]
body
{
background-color:#d0e4fe;
}
h1
{
color:orange;
text-align:center;
}
p
{
font-family:"Times New Roman";
font-size:20px;
}
[/code]

[code=html]

<!DOCTYPE html>

<html>

<body>

<h1>My First Heading</h1>

<p>My first paragraph.</p>

</body>

</html>

[/code]

[code=js]
<script>
function displayDate()
{
document.getElementById("demo").innerHTML=Date();
}
[/code]

[code=whitespace]

[/code]

[code=brainf__k]
>+[>>,----------[>,----------]+++++[<-------->-]<[>>-<]>+[
-<+++++++[<------>-]<[>>-<]>+[
-<<[>>-<]>+[<<->>->]>
]<+++++++[<++++++>-]>>
]<++++++++[<+++++>-]<
[<]<[>>[++++++++++.>]++++++++++.[[-]<]]<]
[/code]
^^ Can I write the full unedited language name without being banned?

It works with anything???

[code=florin]
Florin
[/code]

Lol, quite funny. I liked this plugin before, but I could never get it working properly, it broke on me haha.

RE: New / Old [CODE] tag
For me the function is a bit buggy. Or I am not using it correctly. Let me show you examples:
This is a normal code I would post:

[code=vbnet] Public Class Form1
Private Sub btnCalculate1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnCalculate.Click Dim iCountTimes As Integer = CountOccurrences(TextBox1.Text, " ") Label2.Text = "Amount of characters: " & TextBox1.TextLength & " Amount of words: " & iCountTimes.ToString End Sub
End class[/code]

That's how it gets :S

That's not because of the code tag, that's because of the editor itself, you need to make sure that the SOURCE tab is selected before you start pasting code into the box.
