Favorite Linux distribution?
How many versions of Linux did you get the chance to use? Do you have a favorite one? I have only worked a bit on the Fedora but I can't say if other distributions are better or not.

RE: Favorite Linux distribution?
I've used Ubuntu, Debian, Mint, ArchLinux. ArchLinux is good if you know your way around Linux, but I find Ubuntu a bit "bulky" and I just use Mint personally for a LiveCD whenever I need to repair my Windows. It's good for hard drive issues and data retrieval.

edit: Forgot about BackTrack, that's another one I have used.

RE: Favorite Linux distribution?
I used Fedora in college, they have it on all the labs that use Linux. Ubuntu was the first Linux I have seen (it was like staring at a weird animal at the Zoo Tongue2) but it was so different from Windows that I gave up on it. In college though, I had to learn how to use it because it was required.

RE: Favorite Linux distribution?
My first full time experience with Linux was Ubuntu. At the time it was better than Windows Vista. I actually started using Ubuntu because my new machine with Windows Vista was too slow and too buggy to use.

Nowadays Ubuntu disappoints me with the whole Unity thing. I just wish they would stick to Gnome as desktop manager. Ubuntu is still my favorite, just fallen in disgrace for the moment.

I've used other Linux distros across the years but just for small things.
