Linux and touch screens
Do you think it's possible that, in the future, there will be a touch screen Linux distribution? I'm just curious, Windows has this, Android has this... why not Linux?

RE: Linux and touch screens
Android is based on Linux but they try to hard to keep that detail from being noted.. Laugh

I use Android but don't like the fact that Google wants to store all my personal data on their servers. At this moment they know things like my personal PIN number to access the wireless LAN at my house since these kind of values are automatically uploaded to them.

Ubuntu is currently focused on touch screens and is also Linux based, albeit I personally don't like so much how the current direction of the company and they are known for selling your data with Amazon.

Then there is Tizen. This is the answer from the Linux foundation to smartphone and similar devices: https://www.tizen.org/about/devices

From them all, Tizen seems like a good candidate between preserving privacy and providing a good operating system. The biggest problem seems to be the licensing as it is a soup of different IPR holders and is difficult to get a consensus.
