Free SSL via CloudFlare
So, you can now (as in a couple weeks now?) get free SSL as well as anti DDoS and other security features for your websites from CloudFlare! Check out https://www.cloudflare.com/ssl and https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/...trict-mean for more information.

That's pretty sweet. Is there a lot of problems with their free service that you've noticed? Website availability?

Big but smart move by cloudflare in my opinion. They've grown significantly in the past while, and have been known for fast recovery on the most recent exploitations that have been publicly released not too long ago. Shellshock for instance.

Actually, I've not had many problems at all. The only limitation I had issues with was the SSL, but now they've made that free as well. There are some "annoying" things, like if you have a domain with LOTS of subdomains you have to keep scrolling to find ones you might want on their panel. But that's more of the fact that I have like 200+ subdomains on a domain... Honestly, even with the free plan, their service is pretty rock solid. I'd suggest it to anyone looking for a filter/dns host/cdn, it works great. Pretty easy to setup and manage. My favorite feature is probably the minification and/or the auto injection of Google Analytics on each page. Many other cool things as well, like root domain CNAME flattening, that's pretty sweet.

Nice! Now it comes the proposal: How about TechLifeForum using SSL with encrypted traffic and safe browsing?

We could do that for a test ... I think.

Not exactly sure how that'd work... I don't think a subdomain would work on cloudflare.

Nuno Brito might have to be involved if this were the case I think. I haven't really used Cloudflare.
