Windows 10 - New Browser From Microsoft?
Microsoft is developing a new browser for Windows 10, codenamed 'Spartan' :) It is apparently not related to IE and is not an edition of IE. It's supposedly using Microsoft's Chakra JavaScript engine and Microsoft's Trident rendering engine (not WebKit).

While i doubt that they will win any favor from the majority of chrome/firefox users, it's a smart move to ditch (or more like sideline I guess) IE.

MSFT is a smart company, surely they can do better than IE.

I suspect what we're going to get is essentially the next iteration of IE under a different name. Microsoft have tried, bless them, but there is still too much stigma associated with the name Internet Explorer for the browser to flourish on the market.

Saw this somewhere else but couldn't find it, so I had to recreate it.

TheBrowserYouLovedToHate. Microsoft is well aware of it lol. IE really isn't that bad as of 9, and especially 10 however. It's fast and responsive, I just haven't accustomed to the selection workings among a few things yet. If you double click on a word, and you drag to the left to highlight other stuff, the double clicked word gets de-selected before the text to the left of it is selected. This doesn't happen in other browsers and it's one of the many minor things I wish they would "fix". I haven't really had IE 10 hang much though, so needless to say my experience with it would say that it's become more reliable since past times. The only other thing I don't like is the inevitable downloads bar that pops up at the bottom. If I am downloading something in the background, it is nice to have notification that the download is finished, but annoying at the same time if you want to deal with it later. Closing that bar everytime is sometimes a nuisance.

I can't seem to stick to a single browser though. I find myself regularly switching between Chrome, Firefox, and IE.
