I once met a guy to jailbreak is iPhone that he just bought... Funny thing is it was already jailbroken and had ultrasn0w so he practically gave me $20 for free... Dont worry I donated the money to a children fund because i felt guilty

Roflmfao! Maybe he's telling the truth as we don't have any proof. It does, however, seems like he's lying.

I offer a jailbreaking service at my school also (plus, jailbroke all of the school's iPads). Because I jailbroke my iPhone, I installed MyWi and sell WiFi at school from time to time (charge kids like 10$ a month for 1GB of data per day (because they mainly watch movies via the wifi)).

I agree. I do such services for free, not that the OP's tactic is a bad idea of a business. Tongue Don't get me wrong -- I do not support people who gain money from using tools that are made available by their developers for free. The said amount is an "effort" fee. Rolling

What gets me the most are the businesses that charge $20-$50 (yes, $50!) just to unlock a device. A process that takes merely 10 minutes to complete. Probably like the most of you, I'm the go-to-guy for unlocking/jailbreaking Apple products. I never request/charge money for my service, but the money I do make is an "effort" fee as Styx stated.

Same thing with phones though, they don't want you moving to another service provider, since that's a possible reason for why people unlock phones. They want you trapped under their own contract, not someone else's.
